Morgan, Robert Lehman, Benjamin Altman, and three generations of Rockefellers, whose collections are at the core of the museum’s holdings. The film is narrated by descendants of the collectors, as well as the museum’s Director, Philippe de Montebello. Personal childhood recollections of the Havemeyer’s grandson, J. Watson Webb, Jr, David Rockefeller, and Mary Rockefeller Morgan, offer viewers a rare opportunity to experience their passionate pursuit of magnificent works of art.
